Alan has been with Charter since formation of the bank in 1997. With more than 20 years of banking experience, Alan brings expertise in commercial, consumer, and real estate lending, including construction lending. A community leader, Alan is active in several civic and charitable organizations, has served as a past chair of the Bellevue Downtown Association and was named a Volunteer of the Year in 2005 for the YMCA. Alan is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon and a 1986 graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Before joining Charter Bank in March of 2006, Stuart was Vice President for U.S. Bank providing commercial banking products and services to businesses throughout East King County. Stuart spent his entire 7 years of banking at U.S. Bank prior to joining Charter Bank. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Washington and a MBA from Seattle University. Stuart serves on the University of Washington Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity Corporation Board. In addition, he is an active member of the Construction Financial Management Association and Junior Achievement of Greater Puget Sound.

Rob brings 28 years of commercial banking experience to Charter Bank. Prior to joining Charter in 2007 he spent 4 years at Union Bank of California and 20 years at Bank of America serving the middle market business segment. He holds a BA in Business Administration from Eastern Washington University and is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. Rob is active in several Eastside community organizations and volunteers at the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club and Hopelink.

Chris joined Charter Bank’s Bellevue Business Banking Team in November 2007. Previously he joined Banner Bank’s Bellevue Corporate Banking in June of 2005 and progressed from Senior Credit Analyst to Vice President. Chris began his banking career at Washington Mutual Bank in June of 2002 where he went through the Commercial Banking Professional Program and ultimately became a Portfolio Manager. Chris holds a B.A, in Economics from the University of Washington, 2001.

Julie joined Charter Bank in July of 2002 to lead Charter Bank's cash management services division. She has 28 years of banking experience, including 16 years in cash management services. After Julie's initial tenure with large banks, she spent nine years with a community bank, where she started and grew a successful cash management services department and eventually managed online services. Julie serves as Chairman of the Board for the Northwest Clearing House Association in Seattle, is a longtime member of the Association for Financial Professionals, and serves as an active member of the Dieringer School District PTA.

Before joining Charter Bank in July 2004 to head up our Redmond team, Andy was the Senior Vice President & Market Manager for Bank of America's Eastside Business Banking team. With over 20 years in business banking, her career has spanned Peoples Bank/US Bank and Seafirst/Bank of America. Andy is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and has been involved with the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce, Bellevue Downtown Association and Seattle Special Olympics.

Arnie brings more than 18 years of commercial banking experience to the organization. Before joining Charter Bank in January 2007, he served as director of small business services for BECU. Prior to that, he spent time at large and small financial institutions as a commercial loan officer as well as a variety of other positions. Arnie is a 1998 graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School. He earned his bachelor of music degree from Western Washington University in 1984 and is on the board of directors for Cascade Symphony in Edmonds. He resides in Shoreline.

Prior to joining Charter Bank, he served as Chief Financial Officer for a local family-owned manufacturing company. Jan Furey is a graduate of the Pacific Coast Banking School and brings 20 years of commercial lending experience to Charter Bank. She also holds two degrees in business and political science from the University of Idaho and Central Washington State Universities. Jan is active in the local business community and sits on the Board of Directors for the Kent Downtown Partnership, an organization that promotes local business development. Jan is also a strong supporter of youth education. She has served as Vocational Chairperson on the Board of Tacoma Sunrise Rotary, and held other leadership positions in Rotary that focus on youth development.

Liz brings more than 35 years of banking experience to Charter Bank, including 15 years as Vice President of Eastside Business Banking with US Bank in Bellevue. Prior to joining Charter Bank in 1998, her entire banking career was with the same institution, beginning with Peoples Bank, which later was acquired by US Bank. Liz is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School. She has been active in a number of community organizations in Seattle and on the Eastside including serving on the board of the Family Resource Center and the Eastside Adult Day Center. Liz is currently a member of the YWCA Finance Committee and the Washington Women's Foundation.
